Something you may not know about me is that I am a volunteer photographer for the Delaware County SPCA and Chester County SPCA. I’m an animal lover, and rescuing dogs is very near and dear to my heart.
I was honored to be asked to photograph their fashion show Rescued on the Runway on March 30th, 2014 at the Kings Mills Media, PA.
The pooches were amazing models as their strutted their stuff down the runway. Rescued on the Runway is a spring fashion show fundraiser including raffles, great food, fashion and of course these adorable pups that were adopted or available for adoption. My own puppy Penny made me proud participating in the runway show. My family adopted her this year from the Delaware County SPCA.
This years event was a huge success full of dog wagging and kisses!
Nothing says Valentines Day like the props we used in this Valentines mini session on the blog today!
I was so inspired by a flower crown workshop I attended by Love’n Fresh Flowers last year and knew I needed to incorporate what I learned into a session like this. Love’n Fresh Flowers is an urban flower farm and event design studio here in Philadelphia. If you’re getting married, you need to check out her wedding flower packages! The owner, Jennie Love, also enjoys teaching inspiring flower workshops on her farm and it’s where I learned to create the beautiful crowns you see in my sessions.
Here are some of my all time favorite vendors we used for props in this session:

For the launch of my brand new site, I am sharing my favorite fall pumpkin patch engagement session with all of you! We visited a small family owned farm called Milky Way Farm and it could not have been a more perfect backdrop for this session. I loved all the details (especially the two day old calf!) and custom signs made for this shoot. Jason and Erin’s love is so strong as you’ll feel when you look through their images, and I cannot wait to photograph their wedding next August.
Here’s their engagement story, and enjoy the photos!
Tell us about your proposal. Jason was a true gentlemen; he had asked my father if he could marry me prior to the proposal. The day of the proposal he already picked the spot and timed out when the sun would set. He had everything planed and timed out except how long it would take for me to finish dinner. My family and I were eating at his parents house. I was chatting away at dinner not knowing the sun was already setting and he was going to miss his shot to ask me. When he tried to rush me I of course didn’t understand the urgency to rush dinner. Food started missing off my plate and it wasn’t because I was eating it. My food was being plucked off my plate in efforts by him to go for a walk to the beach. Then in a mad dash to the beach to see the sun set I sat down in the sand to watch the sun set. Still not knowing what was going on he said, “You can’t sit down”. “Why not?” I replied. Then it got quiet and he responded ” Because I have a question to ask you, you have to stand for.” When I stood up and turned around he was on one knee. In the distance my parents and his parents were coming up the beach. I of course said, “Yes” and started to cry. I was so happy and the best part was having my family part of that moment that will last forever.
